The six-day long first-ever China International Import Expo (CIIE) was successfully hosted by China, Nov 5th - 10th in Shanghai. PTCG has played a critical role in Washington State to promote, recruit and organize WA companies to attend this event in China. Leading by Washington State Department of Commerce, and partnering with Washington State China Relations Council, PTCG is the key player behind the scene to do the work. We led a delegation of 40 people, including the Assistant Director of WA Department of Commerce, Chris Green, to attend the exhibition, the International Aviation Supply Chain Forum, and many WA State and Chinese local government meetings.
Besides Washington State, PTCG also organized Kansas State to attend CIIE, and spoke at the International Aviation Supply Chain Forum. The delegation was led by the Associate Director Chris Green from WA Department of Commerce, with government officers, county economic development agencies and WA businesses. PTCG provided service to WA Department of Commerce, promoted CIIE among WA SMBs and organized the Delegation. In addition, PTCG coordinated Washington State and Kansas State to speak at the International Aviation Supply Chain Forum on Nov 8. Speakers from both states promoted aviation industry and companies to Chinese state governments and businesses, established business relationships for future collaboration.
Under the "Choose Washington" brand, WA exhibitors gained a lot attractions from Chinese corporate buyers. They brought Washington seafood, wine and all kinds of agriculture products to CIIE, and many of them signed up for the 2019 CIIE on the spot. By setting up business meetings with China provincial and municipal government agencies, PTCG helped King County, Thurston County, Snohomish County and Skagit County establish relationship with Chinese local counterparts, and discuss mutual beneficial opportunities. |
